Whilst my Ducato van was up on the ramps the other day, me and my mechanic noticed we had quite an oil leak from one of the turbo pipes (air pipes, not oil supply). The 2.8 litre JTD engine was fitted from 1999 to 2006. Third generation ducato type X250 ran from 2006 to present. Fitted with 6 speed gearbox (6th gear is actually an extra ratio between old 4th and 5th) Ours is a year 2001. FIAT DUCATO Ducato 2.8jtd. Reverse light switch.
Anyway see the attached pictures for the locations of these two methods of filling the gearbox. If you remove the complete air cleaner assembly & push the large outlet hose coming from the base of air cleaner assemby to one side you will see the clutch slave cyinder directly below that & towards the rear as per the pictures you can see the
